As a kid we lived in Eastern Africa, and I remember seeing a praying mantis there for the first time ever. I remember being completely freaked out…talk about an odd and slightly menacing-looking insect…and it wasn’t a small insect either! Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if I never saw one in person again…just too alien-like.
