So I got a new domain name – http://www.nathanjohns.net. I’ve decided I’d like to use a more powerful blogging platform than blogger, and it seems wordpress is pretty much the way to go. I guess I just have to decide if I’m willing to put up with paying for hosting and staying up-to-date with software updates and whatnot.
…or you can host it yourself on your domain with Blogger if you don’t want to worry about updates. I haven’t run into any problems so far. http://www.blogger.com/adv-create-blog.g
nah, go with wordpress.
You really need to bring this up with Dougherty in person. He gets really worked up and it is quite fun to watch.
Just go with wordpress. Definitely gives you more freedom and choice.
Just do WordPress, seriously
Be careful with WordPress! Our WordPress web dev blog on http://kuttisme.no was hacked for about 5 hours before we discovered it and fixed it. The result was that the blog was excluded from the Google index:(
I’ve requested a reinclusion in Webmaster Central, but it doesn’t seem to work.
Good luck with your blog.
